The last journal entry I made was over a year ago and the last drawing I ever uploaded was back in 2013. Haha, yup. It's been a while. 
But I've made sure to visit dA as much as I can (even though I don't actively share stuff here anymore) because I still have friends around here! And to be honest, I could never fully abandon this site. Lots of nice memories were formed here. 
But anyway, a lot of stuff has been happening behind the scenes! I AM still drawing- just not as frequently as I used to. Most of the stuff I've drawn lately has been just for practice or were special requests made by online friends. I've also been making new, more challenging cosplays for the conventions I go to. The biggest project I've made this year? A full suit of armor using craft foam and vinyl. ....Seriously. I actually did make one! Those who follow me on Tumblr know which project I'm talking about.
I'm totally going to post photos of that (AND new drawings, too!) later this month.
Oh. And to all the people who recently added me to their watch list: HI THERE!
I'm glad you're here and that you like my art! Hope you all stick around!

~Sakura-Con 2014~

Hey, guys! I know I haven't put anything new in my gallery in recent months (whoooops 
), but I'm still active online-- just not here. I'm a lot more active on Tumblr nowadays, and there's a bunch of stuff I've made art-wise that can be viewed on my personal blog. So check me out there! 
I'll try to update my dA gallery in the near future as well~ ^.^
Anyway, Sakura-Con is this weekend! Will I be there? You BET I am.
This'll be the 8th year in a row I've been to this convention and it gets more awesome each time!
My cosplay lineup this year is basically a shuffled version of last year's lineup- but with one new character in the mix. And for once, it's a girl character. XD
On Thursday, I'll be Yukio (Blue Exorcist) and have a Rin with me.
Friday, I'll be Tsuzuki (Descendants of Darkness) the entire day. There will also be a Muraki and Hisoka that will team up with me later on.
Saturday morning and part of the afternoon, I'll be Mikasa (Attack on Titan) and be part of a decent AoT group! *We will also be participating in the Cosplay Skit contest. EEEEEEEK

And for the rest of Saturday and Sunday, I'll be Kento (Ronin Warriors). Gonna bring both my subarmor and baseball uniform again~

Halloween update! :D

Hey there! I know not a lot of people respond to my journal entries (or my submissions) nowadays, but I figured I should update it anyway! 
There's no way I would fully abandon my dA account. Nooooo way at all. 
But yeah-- I'm still alive and well! And in case you were unaware of this, I've also got an account on a different site: Tumblr! I actually update there more frequently than I do here. There's a lot of extra stuff I post in my blog that you can't find (or won't find) on dA-- like artbook scans, WIP shots of drawings I'm working on, cosplay progress (again, no one really comments much on those when I put them up here 
), and links to videos that I've edited for my cosplay group, Samurai Edge! Soooooo if you haven't seen my Tumblr blog by now, you should check it out~ 
Anyway, that's all I've gotta say! For now.

Yay! Birthday greetings! :D

Wow. Lots of people left me little "Happy Birthday" messages on my account......that was a nice surprise! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who greeted me~

So once again, I haven't been updating my gallery lately.. There's a few reasons for that. For one, I'm not drawing too much nowadays. I have been making small pictures every now and then, but only for practice. Besides, dA has been awfully quiet for a while. Starting to wonder if my watchers are even bothering to check out my art anymore. *sigh*
Also-- for at least 3 months now, I've had some irritating encounters with an art thief. The guy traced one of my pictures and- despite mentioning me in the description- pretty much took credit for it. ...And about a month after the first violation, he stole the exact same drawing and traced it again. 
(...What the heck.) It's not just me the art thief has targeted; he's doing this to several other artists as well. He tells people who comment on his page that he won't steal, but does it anyway-- and he seems to not understand what the word "no" means. It bugs me that he hasn't been banned yet. *SIIIIGH* 
So......that's another reason why I'm not logging on as often.
But probably the biggest reason why I'm not active is because.......I'm on Tumblr!
That's right~ If anyone didn't know this already, I have a Tumblr blog and I update that more frequently than my dA gallery. You can find some doodles, cosplay photos, random messages, and a bunch of extra goodies that you won't see anywhere else. Feel free to stop by, leave a message, and take a look at my blog!
Phew~ That's all I've got to say for now. I'm going to try and get back into drawing new projects. I hope everyone is enjoying summer so far!

~Highlights of Sakura-Con 2013~

This year's convention blew my expectations out of the water. The positive experiences I had outweighed the negatives, and the people I met made this Sakura-Con very heartwarming and memorable. 
I had such an amazing time overall!!
So here's what I noticed/experienced over the weekend that stood out above the rest:
—Compared to previous years, most of my friends were present at the con all weekend long!
It's always great when you get to meet up with familiar faces at events like this. Lots of hugs and hi-fives were exchanged. 
I also said hi to some online buddies that were either selling stuff in Artist Alley or wandering around, cosplaying from the same series I was. (You know who you are~ ;3)
—There was a nice lineup of special guests. Not only did Vic Mignogna make another appearance (and autographed something for my best friend), but I also met Bryce Papenbrook during his Blue Exorcist panel on Friday night! My friends and I even sat behind him and got a good view of the final two dubbed episodes. It was pretty awesome.
—Got some lovely merchandise from the Exhibitor's Hall. Didn't get too much, but it's fine. I'm happy with my findings! *mostly got Blue Exorcist stuff* I even got a few special gifts from some pals, which was incredibly sweet of them.
—The most shocking (but epic) experience of all? Being part of the cosplay skit contest on Saturday. My friends and I had put together a skit for fun, performing it early on in the competition. …AND WE WON SOMETHING FOR IT.
In fact, we are the ones who won the "Best Novice" award! I was on the verge of flipping out backstage when our group's name was announced. It was officially the best part of the con for us that day!

In short, my 7th year at this con was GREAT.
